The reason is that I don't like when a Main character is so overpowered that nothing fazes him or challenges him because in the beginning of the story nothing bothers him at all, and it kind of bothers you as a reader.

if I remember correctly, none.. yeah, sadly..
I have read many stories from similar genre, so there's might few overlap and gap in my memory..
This creates a problem with following the story if the Main character is too powerful to defeat it kinds ruins the interest in the series there is no danger to Touya actually dying.
the strong point of isesuma, imho, not when Touya fighting but when he unravel the unknown and how he do it,, I guess that's why it is relatively popular in the genre of isekai..
however, if you find the story is unsatisfactory.. as different people has different palate.. you also can drop it if you need to..
I think the story is fine but it would be nice to see something appear that can seriously kill Touya even The gods have enemies that can kill them.
