The Dverg is a mecha designed and built by the dwarves of the Kingdom of Ryle. Unlike the Iron Machine Soldiers, this was not based on reverse-engineering stolen parts of a Frame Gear, but rather on the ideas and concepts of the dwarves[citation needed]. However, they were inspired by the Frame Gears, and Touya decided to let the dwarves develop this technology as it is not intended for combat but rather for civilian usage[1]

History[]

As stated previously, inspired by the Frame Gears, the dwarven engineers and craftsmen decided to make their own version of the mecha[2]. However, they intended to use the new invention for civil engineering projects and hauling ore[3]. They presented their prototype to Touya and asked to compare it to a real Frame Gear as well as consult with its creator, Regina Babylon[4]. During the presentation, Touya would accidentally break the prototype due to his enormous magical output[5].

Description[]

The Dverg is named after the ancestors of the dwarves and is described as a short and stout machine, approximately 4 meters in height[6]. As Touya described it, it was like chopping a car in half and mounting the driver's seat in the torso with legs and arms attached[7]. The machine is driven by a magic furnace in its core and uses not only magic particles in the air, but also uses the condensed magical energy of the user[8]. Since it is still in its prototype stage, the Dverg has poor energy efficiency and much of that magical energy is leaked back into the atmosphere[9]. Regina Babylon had suggested to engrave magical conduits (ie: power relays), to make it more efficient[10].

The dwarves claimed that even an amateur could make the Dverg walk, though Touya's enormous magical output caused an overload and heavily damaged the Dverg when he was invited to test it out[11].
