Lyon is a gallant young man with a good head on his shoulders. Although he is part of a prominent family of nobles, he does not discriminate against non-humans, even marrying one. He also believes that warriors should be decided by merit, as he punished a group of young knights who taunted Touya, despite them being from noble families. Despite his strong personality, Lyon is shown to have been quite awkward when it came to matters of the heart, a quality which gradually disappeared as His relationship with Olga progressed.
