The Alchemy Ward and an Unexpected Reunion (『錬金棟』、そして思わぬ再会。 Nekintō”, Soshite Omowanu Saikai.?) is the sixth episode of the second season of In Another World With My Smartphone anime.
Plot[]
A new Babylon Ruin is found in a tundra cave by Touya and his fiancés. Touya finds its entrance and, after entering the ruin, is greeted by its administrator Bell Flora, who welcomes him to the Alchemy Lab of Babylon. Flora was pleased to learn that both Francesca and High Rosetta had accepted Touya as their master; she tested him too and then registered. While giving a tour of the facility to Touya, Flora explains the area's function and abilities, one of which is its production of high-quality medicines. However, none of them are... normal.
Afterward, Touya informs his fiancés and Leen about his findings, and Leen is incredibly disappointed that the ruin wasn't the Library of Babylon. Things, though, become complicated when Flora reveals that Touya had groped her chest and kissed her, which earns him the scorn of his fiancés.
At the Duchy of Brunhild Castle, Renne delivers Touya the newest arrival of books to his room for the Moon Reader Cafe. Reading one of the books containing the spell Fly and test drives the spell outside, which causes him to become nauseous over its overuse. Elze allows Touya to rest on her lap and then asks if he casts Fly on her, would it grant her flying abilities. However, Touya explains that it wouldn't work, noting it'd be like if she tried casting Boost on Linze.
After an epiphany to combine another spell called Levitation with Fly, Touya allows Elze to fly with him. Touya then flies around the city, meets with the newly formed order of knights, and sequentially gets a call from God, but it is from the God of Love. She congratulates Touya on his romantic life with his "wives" and suggests he announce this to their respective parents.
Eventually, Touya and Yae visit her parents Jubei and Nanae. They consent for Touya to marry Yae without condition, but that changes when Touya mentions how easy things progressed as he figured he'd have to challenge Jubei to have him accept his daughter's hand. This proposal intrigues Jubei, and he almost fights Touya; however, Yae successfully mediates the situation.
At Elze and Linze's hometown, Touya is introduced to their uncle, aunt, and cousins. Immediately the uncle begs for forgiveness, and one of the cousins explains to Touya how her uncle is toward people of nobility. One of the cousins then asks if Touya can defeat a Thunderbear, which leads to Touya learning about some in the area, and he volunteers to handle them.
Touya would later turn in the Thunderbear corpses to the Adventurer Guild and, in the waiting area, would meet with Ende and asks him about Phrases. Ende explains that Phrases aren't of that world, and they're looking for their king's core, which is in someone's body within that world. Furthermore, humans' heartbeat drown out the sound of the king's core, explaining why the Phrases kill humans. Touya surmises that's what caused the great calamity five thousand years ago, and Ende confirms it while inadvertently confirming he was around that period. Ende also speculates that sometime in the future, Advanced Phrases will appear. When asked if he's an ally, Ende answers vaguely and notes that he's killing time until the core reaches the other world. Before leaving, Touya asks Ende who he is, and Ende answers he's a traveler.
In light of the impending invasion of Advanced Phrases, Touya visits Rosetta and asks her about the Frame Gears. She explains that anyone can pilot one with the proper training; however, they're difficult to mass produce due to the amount of materials and time needed to manufacture them. When asked how many the Hangar of Babylon carries, Rosetta details that only four-six Frame Gears are held in each type.
Back at his castle, Touya learns from Kokuyou/Sango that if he wants better aviation abilities, he should try summoning the Flame Emperor. Immediately Touya does this, he forms a pact with the Flame Emperor and names her Kougyoku. Now with Kougyoku, Touya has her summon a flock of birds to scour the land in search of Babylon Ruins.
