Medal, and Viscount Mansion. (メダル、そして子爵邸。 Medaru, soshite Shishakutei.?) is the 16th chapter of the Web Novel Series and the 6th chapter of the 2nd Story Arc, Travelling Companion.
Summary[]
The duke send off Touya's group with 40 platinum coins and his house medal. At first Touya rejected the duke's offer then with brief explaination, he accepted it. From the duke's mansion, Touya's group continued their quest to deliver Zanac's letter to Viscount Swordrick. Fortunately, Yae was also meant to meet the viscount. They arrived at the viscount house and successfully deliver the letter. After receiving the response letter from the viscount, the viscount expressed his familiarity with Yae's appearance. Yae then introduced herself as the daughter of the former sword instructor of the House of Swordrick. She also said to the viscount that she was ready to accept instruction from the viscount which suddenly increased the tension in the room.

- One platinum coin worth 10 gold coins.
- They also received a medal of the House of Ortlinde, an 5-centimeter-in-diameter medal with a lion face carved on the center of the shield.
- Touya received a medal with "tranquility" written on the back of it, Elze received "zeal", Linze received "philanthropy", and Yae received "sincerity".
- Yae's father, Jūbei, was the House of Swordrick's sword instructor about 20 years ago.
