Travelling Companion (旅の仲間 Tabi no Nakama?) is the second story arc introduced in the In Another World With My Smartphone web novel series.
Summary
Touya, Elze, and Linze adventurer rank just upgraded from black to purple so they took letter delivery quest to Alephis capital city from Zanac as their first purple rank quest. On the journey, they met and helped Yae, a samurai from Eashen, who was in trouble. Because Yae also on her journey to go to the capital city, they then traveled together. During their journey, Touya saw a carriage being attacked by a group of lizard man and they went for protecting the carriage. The carriage was actually transporting Lady Sue, the Duke Alfred's daughter. They then requested by the butler, Leim, to escort Sue until they arrived at capital city. Arriving at the capital city, they went straight to the duke's mansion where Touya also helped Duchess Ellen from her blindness. From the duke's mansion, they went to Viscount Swordrick's mansion to finish their quest. Fortunately, Yae also wanted to go to the viscount's place for having a match with the viscount where Yae lost the fight. On their way to the shopping district, Yae contemplated her lost which Touya consoled her by showing the match recording for motivated her. On the shopping district, Touya met Arma and Olga, the fox beastwoman, and he bought a magic enchanted white long coat and non-attribute magic encyclopedia. They went back to Reflet town using 「Gate」 and finished their quest. Yae then registered herself to the adventurer guild and join the group to her first quest. They finished the quest easily and had party for Yae's registration and first quest completion.
