Crystal Monster (水晶の怪物 Suishō no Kaibutsu?) is the third story arc introduced in the In Another World With My Smartphone web novel series.
Summary
Touya had been in the world for several weeks now. In the mean time he had picked up several null magic and had created shōgi Board and also taught Dolan on how to play it, who later taught Barral about it. Touya also introduced Aer to roll cake and taught her on how to make it. Furthermore, Touya also introduced the Duke Alfred and his family to shogi and roll cake. One day, Touya, Elze, Linze, and Yae went to old capital city ruins to finish their guild quest. They found a hidden underground historical ruins and decided to explore it. They accidentally activated a dormant cricket phrase inside the ruins. After rigorous battle to kill the phrase, they reported their finding to Duke Alfred.
